Nerona: Onchain Private Banking, Redefined
Crypto is at a pivot point. Our industry started because an anonymous internet entity decided to launch a decentralized, neutral form of peer-to-peer digital money. Since then, we've tried multiple experiments; some worked better than others. Nonetheless, the primary criticism for crypto remains the same: "What is crypto's use case?"
For us, the answer is pretty simple. Crypto is the best tool to make global money movement the most productive. Which explains why crypto-finance has been stronger than ever, despite price action and the doomerism that encapsulated the tech side of crypto in the past 18 months. The metrics speak for themselves. Crypto card payments reach $1.5B/month, stablecoin supply hit $300B, and institutions are racing to launch RWA products.
At the same time, infrastructure cost is collapsing, and the advent of AI makes it even easier than ever for people to build. This brings us to a new crypto era. An era where crypto firms and founders need to think about what moats are truly defensible. And at Nerona, we have strong opinions about what that entails.
What is Nerona?
Nerona is an onchain private wealth management platform. The goal of Nerona is to provide the best products, services, and experiences for our customers, while providing optionality for their onchain capital to be the most productive. Our suite of products includes a mobile app, a crypto card, a yield-bearing stablecoin, an isolated lending market, a concierge service, and a bespoke advisory team for specialized needs.
The term "private banking" has always served a specific purpose: giving high-value clients access to better products, better rates, and better services than what's available off the shelf. It works because it compounds trust and capital together. The longer you stay, the more tailored the experience becomes, and the harder it is to leave the ecosystem.
Crypto hasn't had its version of this yet. What we have are fragmented tools. Wallets here, yield protocols there, cards from someone else, and advisory from no one. The experience is disjointed, and the capital is unproductive. As a result, the large majority of users that these products service are crypto-natives instead of tapping into the larger TAM and growing the pie altogether.
Nerona changes this. We are building the connective tissue between spending, saving, earning, and borrowing. All onchain and all under one ecosystem. We believe this is possible thanks to the advancement of crypto infrastructures, which now shifted what matters into
What Makes Nerona Different?
The crypto industry has spent the last cycle building infrastructure. Chains got faster. Fees got cheaper. Bridges got more reliable. But the user experience for anyone holding meaningful capital hasn't fundamentally improved. The wealthy crypto user today still has to stitch together a dozen protocols, trust multiple frontends, and manage risk across fragmented systems.
We believe the next defensible moat in crypto isn't another chain or another protocol — it's the relationship layer. Products can be forked. Liquidity can be mercenary. But a client who trusts you with their wealth, who gets a phone call when volatility spikes, who can borrow against their portfolio in a single click — that stickiness compounds.
Nerona's moat is not technical. It is experiential. We are building for the user who has capital and wants it managed with the same rigor and care that traditional private banks provide — but with the transparency, composability, and yield potential that only onchain infrastructure can deliver.
Disclaimer: For legal purposes, we're actually not providing banking services. Nerona is not a bank, and we don't offer banking services. Nerona designs crypto-native infrastructure and product experiences that apply private-banking quality of services to onchain capital.
